Memorial Day 2009

Memorial Day Parade

Had the car in the Parma Heights Annual Memorial Day Parade for the third straight year since deciding to quit changing over main hood, side and trunk panels for different candidates each and every election cycle, giving the space to the Valley Forge High School Alumni Association [the Liberty Bell design was taken from a mouse pad and went over to Office Max and blew it up on the CAD printer, and cut the outline in sections and took the black vinyl and cut each section to size – in the cowl area has all of the VF Hall of Fame Inductees and also each serving principals, except for the current one which I am personally at war with, but another discussion for another day]. The Alma Mater is in a scroll on the trunk, as well as the current officers, and on the side are the Fightin’ Patriot “Dude” along with the schools Coat of Arms – Car is getting up there in miles and pretty much done with everything I have wanted to do with the car, but will truly never be done as there is always something I need to be tinkering with I reckon.

Was lined up behind the Mayor’s corvette [again], and for the third straight year he ignored me, and after all of the Indian Guides and Princesses, things finally got moving, only to stop to pick up the mayor from the first ceremony site at the local church and waited until the VF Band got in front, then idled my way down the mile route to the cemetery, remembering what Memorial Day is truly all about, along with those who served and continue serving [including my 5 cousins currently in Service to the Greatest Country In The World!: US Navy - Stateside / US Army - Stateside / US Air Force - Stateside / US Air Force - Stateside / US Air Force - S. Korea].
